Sunset Delirium

You ever have those dreams where you're like, "Haha, it's so nice to hang out with my friends and play games in person!" No? Just me? Well, Sunset Delirium is a super lightweight rpg for just that! I miss people... Using the "Powered by the Apocalypse" system, take an hour or two, make some junk up and have fun with your friends!

Either on your own, or with some friends, take turns envisioning a world and exploring it with some characters as if walking through a dream. 

Make it all up or use some ideas from the right column. Envision settings, characters you meet, and conflicts. Take turns elaborating on it all.

Whenever your character is placed in a challenging situation without a clear outcome imagine their response and roll 2d6: 

2-6: YOU UTTERLY FAIL, but gain +1 XP. Describe the consequences and if you rolled snake eyes make it particularly bad!

7-9: YOU SUCCEED KIND OF, but with significant complications. Expand on these complications. 

10+: YOU TOTALLY SUCCEED! Narrate your success and if you rolled double 6s make it particularly awesome!

At any point you can spend up to 4 XP, adding it to your roll. HOWEVER, you must now come up with a situationally specific “Skill” and narrate how it helped you in this instance.

Write this Skill down, name it, and make note of the bonus. During play you can elaborate on how this Skill more deeply relates to your character. If it comes up again during gameplay interpret how it’s relevant and you can add the bonus to your roll!
